Bethel Christian Center aspires to become a praying and welcoming community where anyone can find physical, emotional, and spiritual rest. Bethel Christian Center (Formerly the international Christian fellowship), began in 1994 with a handful of worshippers but over the years has grown to over 200 regular members. Our Sunday school grew from 3 children to 100 plus, ages 1 to ages 17. In 2013, our Church moved to its new location in Westbrook; a spacious and fully accessible building with gymnasium, classrooms, and a large sunny sanctuary. Bethel Christian center is a family joined together to celebrate fellowship, friendships, and to find pure calling. This is a family-friendly place where many of us from different nations can feel at home. It's a place to find healing, help, and hope. Whether you are in the greater Portland area, Westbrook or surrounding cities, once you visit us your life will never be the same.

Dr. Peter Mutima is the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of
Bethel Christian Center. Bethel Christian Center began in 1994
with a small group of worshippers and has grown into a
welcoming, multicultural church community in Westbrook, Maine.
Under his leadership, BCC Maine has become a place where people
from different nations can feel at home, find fellowship, and
experience healing, help, and hope through Jesus Christ. Dr.
Mutima’s ministry extends beyond the local church through
missions and outreach, with a heart to serve communities across
nations and strengthen lives through faith, prayer, and
reconciliation.
